I have been a fan of Carl Pei and OnePlus for many years. OnePlus brought premium design and specs at an affordable price and were rightly the 'flagship killer' for many years. Since Carl and OnePlus have parted ways, OnePlus has been on a downward spiral.

There are so many posts in the OnePlus official Community that clearly shows how fans of OnePlus are unhappy with the company's direction.

To survive in the cutthroat world of budget Android phones, you need to have something that sets you apart from the competition. The Nothing Phone (1) is a breath of fresh air in a pool of similar-looking phones.

The LED glyph interface at the back and a unique see-through industrial design are what sets the Nothing Phone (1) apart. The phone has decent specs and camera performance for a mid-range phone.

It is hard to recommend any other Android phone at ₹30k. The other option could be the Google Pixel 6a.

The Design aesthetics of Nothing Phone (1) are in the league of iPhones but at a fraction of the price. I'm hopeful for this company, and if the first generation phone is a sign of things to come, I'm excited for Nothing Phone (2).
